Antithetical Disintegration - Video - 2012-2015

A video component to the Antithesis photographic series, Antithetical Disintegration is four related single channel works combing HDSLR video capture with an 8x10 view camera to depict specific, shallow lines of focus across a series of images. Though technically video the works present as photographs, and are not to be watched per se, but rather experienced as different pieces at different times in different relationship to one another.

The objects appearing in the skin relate to bits of information and experience retained in memory, the effects of which recede in time. It can be difficult to determine the exact moment at which accessing them becomes impossible.
